FIBERGLASS ROGER WHITTAKER HEAD DEER WHISTLE TOPS LIST OF MOST POPULAR AUTO ACCESSORIES

It's been on the market for less than a month, yet suppliers are finding it impossible to keep the Roger Whittaker head deer whistle in stock.   "Sales just went crazy from day one," said Pudding Schulteis, the director of sales for Dodge-A-Deer, Inc.  "We carry a lot of other deer whistles, but everybody wants the Roger Whittaker head."

The Whittaker head is a 10-inch diameter fiberglass likeness of the popular South African singer that mounts to the front of the vehicle and whistles one of three pre-programmed tunes to prevent collisions with deer.  The songs include, Don't Worry, Be Happy, The Colonel Bogey March, and Yellow Bird.  

"I thought it was just older folks who liked Roger Whittaker, but people of all ages are buying his whistling head. I have to admit, the tunes are pretty snappy," said Schulteis.
